Like the newer 1815 chrono the dials on these updated versions of two classics are much cleaner than the originals. I got a Datograph this week but the more I look at the up/down the more I like it better than the original! Wear yours well, thanks again f...  

I think that it is what Lange wished to achieve with this watch. They knew that a lot of people would prefer the original one but they managed to preserve its soul and so the last Datograph becomes more and more attractive... Fx

And thank you for the compliments. I am surprised that you find the Dato Up/Down nicer than the original because it's gotten quite a lot of flak in this forum for lacking in certain je ne sais quoi. Personally, I would take either one. By the way, congrat...
