IWC: I have always preferred

Chronos with the registers at 12 and 6, instead of the tradition 9 and 3.. but unfortunately this wears to big for me becoz of the very thin bezel

Looking at your pics, I think I know what happened. The wire lugs have a little notch to secure it in place when you screw in those tiny screws.. from your pics, it seems they were installed in the opposite direction and so the screws weren’t catching the notch eg even the wire lugs look rather chew

A. Lange & Söhne: Errr.. I think the spring is still there

It’s just hidden under the price when the center wheel is rotating Below is pic of the honey gold 1815 rattrapant movement from monochrome - still there This is a substandard way to make a rattrapante and also quite cheap looking

A. Lange & Söhne: Lange makes really nice dress watches

I think the 1815 (in 40mm) is one of the nicest 3 hand watch. If patek launched a simple 3 hander with the design of the 5078g/5178g (with breguet numerals), then I will change my opinion about the 1815.
