Lange & Söhne at the Salon Les Montres
Oct 11, 2014,13:37 PM
The Salon Les Montres took place during 3 days at the Place St Germain in Paris. It gathered exhibitions from different brands which are sold in the boutiques of the famous parisian retailer.
Lange was among them and I propose you to share a few pics I took today.
Some views of the booth:
On Saturday, the place became crowded!
The displays were presenting several pieces of the new collection (new 38,5mm 1815, Grand Lange One Moonphase...) and some pieces still in the catalogue from the previous years:
The Grand Lange One Moonphase is growing on me. I remember very well when it was presented at the pre-SIHH. I found its dial a bit unbalanced compared to the Lange One Moonphase due to the empty area below the moonphase display. But I have started to change my mind. The large moon and the starry disk make it attractive and charming.
My fav case material is platinum with this watch, the neutral colour works very well and highlights the beauty of the blue of the disk:
This Platinum Richard Lange is far from being a novelty. But I couldn't resist to put it on my wrist again... this weight, this pure dial, the big second hand... maybe the most beautiful 3 hands watches from a high-end brand of a large group.
The 38,5mm 1815 was introduced this year. If we forget the size decrease, the main difference with the 40mm version is the case shape and the way the bezel follows the same pattern than the one used with the 1815 up&down. It enhances the pocket watch feeling.
This yellow gold version is worn by Lucia of the Lange Western Europe team. It looks nice on her wrist!
We played at "her and his" watches... by Lange this time!
A lovely 1815 couple!
This handwind Saxonia can be considered as the entry level and the cheapest way to enter the Lange catalogue. It already containts all the details that make a Lange watch so special. I remind you that its movement is the same than the one which powered the first 1815.
MOP dial and set bezel... and the Saxonia becomes an elegant lady's watch.
And now, let me introduce you the Saxonia couple!
The day is over, the guests and visitors are leaving the place... let's have a last look at the booth! 2014 was the moonphase year for Lange and the decorations of the booths I could see during the last months were similar. My only regret was the absence of the Terraluna, I think I would have been happy to put it again on my wrist.
I would like to thank a lot the Lange Western Europe team and the Les Montres staff for the perfect organization of this event.
