Yesterday, I had the chance with a group of French fans to attend a dinner organized by Lange Western Europe (Jacques and Lucia) at a famous restaurant in Paris: Apicius.This event was a great opportunity for all of us to share our passion about the Saxonian Manufacture and to enjoy a very nice dinner in a warm atmosphere of friendship. A few weeks ago, a friend bought his first Lange. He spent a lot of time choosing it, finding it and finally made an interesting move: he purchased the Grand Langematik with black dial and pink gold case (the reference 309.031). Lange just unveiled the Datograph Auf/Ab. The most evident changes over the outgoing model is the new 41 mm case and a power reserve of 60 hours thanks to a larger barrel. One week after the Salon "Les Montres" in Paris, I crossed the Channel to enjoy another exhibition by Lange at the Salon QP in London. I couldn't miss this opportunity because it was the last chance to see such gathering of Lange watches before the end of the year... good way to refresh the memory before the upcoming SIHH!Taking advantage of the Saatchi Gallery, the Lange booth was much larger than the week before, giving a more comfortable atmosphere to the visitors... and to the Lange Western Europ... more

The Saxonia Dual Time was unveiled at the 2011 SIHH and symbolizes the evolution within the Saxonia collection. When you come back to the first steps of the contemporary history of Lange & Söhne, in 1994, the Saxonia was at this time the simplest round watch of the collection with an unique complication : the big date display. Then, it lost this role, the 1815 becoming the true entry level watch. Years later, the Saxonia was removed from the catalogue and it came back as a specific line.... more

Yesterday was organized by the Lange & Söhne Western Europe Team the Lange Owner Group Dinner. As you know, Lange has released 5 new calibers this year. If we forget the ones of the complicated watches (Zeitwerk Acoustic and Richard Lange Tourbillon PLM, they all have a 3 days power reserve.This is without any doubt a trend at Lange: during many years, the 72 hours power reserve was only  dedicated to the Lange 1.
