Green (?!) strap for my Datograph...

I think the platinum Datograph is one of the least colorful-strap friendly pieces out there, with the cold black face combined with a strong blue antireflective coating. That said, I've been trying to find an off-the-beaten-path combination that works wel...

I agree, it makes it look almost vintage! :) Regarding color - I've always found it to be a hit or miss for proper delivery of colors over the web. I love using Chrome as my main web browser but it unfortunately doesn't translate the color profiles proper...

agree :)

Yeah, ... color balance is a very difficult thing to control even on one's own computer screen, then browsers, etc.. it's a mess (and this coming from somebody who worked for years in completely controlled light environments! ;) ... BUT, the important thi...

I don't think there ever was a green strap made that is OEM, it probably is an interesting color the grey strap received through aging. Never the less it would be hard to make the dato look bad, it just commands attention.

Nice patina developing on the OEM strap.

One of mine is beginning to look like that. Fine if you like it; if not it's easily remedied. cheers fernando

I would be, personally, more convinced by black, grey or brown.

...is one of the finest and most beautiful watch i seen so far. I think i works also on a NATO strap :P but in this particular case I think it's very something, not so far from the OEM dark blue one. i love it in any sauce. best, chris

Thanks for the info, do you know when they switched to the dark grey strap with contrast stitching?

The mighty Dato still looks very handsome! I think your green strap is unique. Personally I prefer my Dato with black, charcoal grey or navy blue straps Thanks for sharing! Creative color matching and what matters most is you like it! :) Cheers Robin

Navy blue strap...

 By: doobooloo : August 18th, 2014-19:31
I've been meaning to get my hands on a navy blue strap as well. When I visited the Lange boutique in Tokyo I inquired about the navy blue strap but they did not have one in stock at the time... so I came back empty handed. I'm really looking forward to th...

I'm a fan of this kind of colours which make us escape from the classic colours seen thousands times... It is a nice green and you have a eautiful combo. Fx

Thank you, I think playing around with different straps is half the fun of the horological journey!

Looks better when viewed with Safari

I tried looking with Firefox but I think Safari renders the color better. Thanks for sharing. Regards, Ian
