I played with the Datograph

Here are some pics taken today of this beast...
The Dato is really a powerful watch, iconic, classic...
How many years, now? 10?
Wow, you really get the impression that it just came in our mad watch world.
The movement?
Wowowow
So nice that you want to put it on the wrist, instead of the dial...The perfect Dato should be Reversible!
How do you prefer it?
With a 2 numbers date till the 10th of each month, or like it is??? ( Thanks to Julie for giving me the Lange Yeear Book 2007!)
Best.
Enjoy.
Nicolas

Hi Nicolas, cant agree with you more on the remake or rather reedition of this Dato, its a too difficult tasks after so long and so persistence in the making and sustaining to date, iconic and world wide acknoledgement. You have improve alot on your picture...

A 5070P! LMAO Seriously, I hope the best, and I fear the worst... I'm afraid Lange wants to do too much ,thinking ot do the best. It's quite difficult to touch to a Myth as the Dato. Each time you want to touch to a Myth, I'm afraid... Ahh, you recognized ...
great Idea!! A 10th anniv. Datograph...

make it one with a PR indicator (either at the 9 or the 3 o´clock subdial, preferable the 9 o´clock subdial) and please use the inhouse spring and balance! Do I hear "ratrapante" ??? Edwin
Never gets tiring...

Boy, this watch is to be appraciated in each of its squarred mm! The very interesting thing is the contrast between the quite sober, and a bit martial dial, and the more exuberant decoration and finish of the movement. Here the pics of the dial: Quite all...
Absolutely fabulous.

Man, this Dato is hard to take in pics... Flat: On its side... The Dato Stands up! Some views of its profile, just to admire the finish of the dial, and the applied numbers...Perfect! Another good way to have a look on the superb polished / brushed finish...
Another great photo essay.
