I always knew watches would be the death of me, but now I think it will be the watch get-togethers that will do me in. After just about recovering from the 3.30am finish in Melbourne two days ago, three hardcore Purists talked till sunrise after a delight...

They have the same relationship as Clark Kent and Superman, and he was his "mild-mannered" self that evening. But The Nun is never far away when you need her ... A

You would be most welcome, Sidney ...

 By: AndrewD : July 5th, 2010-00:42
Hi Sidney, you would have been most welcome. And yes I am sure Sydney was aglow with the Observatoire in town, but it has unfortunately jetted out again. Hope we can catch up another time. Regards Andrew

Hi Phinz, PM me your contact details (remembering to leave spaces in email addresses so they are not supressed) and I will certainly keep you informed of any trans-Tasman activities. Andrew

Get in line, we wanted more...

Hard sugar crust with pavlova/meringue filling and soft centre, on a guava ice. Also bigger than it looks in Andrew's photo (fortunately) Regards, Richard.

Wow

 By: aptronym : July 4th, 2010-20:05
That is some GTG. Independents Day indeed! I had no idea that there were some Habrings here in Sydney! I'm the person who organised a Peter Speake-Marin dinner in Sydney last year, and I was also involved with the Melbourne one. I wish that I'd known that...

Let's hope we can catch up one day ...

 By: AndrewD : July 5th, 2010-00:46
I missed the PSM GTG as well, but heard it was great. Andrew

sounds good

 By: aptronym : July 5th, 2010-01:41
It'd be fun to catch up some time. I hang out with a hardcore group of about 20 WISs in Sydney... It's a shame that you couldn't go to the PSM dinner in Melbourne, Frank did a great job with it from all reports.

Many thanks to AndrewD for organising this...

 By: RJW : July 4th, 2010-20:47
