Hentschel H1 Chronometer P 20 / Zenith CP2 P15... And WatchProSite 25?.

 By: amanico : May 6th, 2024-15:55
As you well know, these are two of our creations, made and issued to celebrate the 15th and 20th Anniversary of our website. We started from an existing watch and tried to " spice it " a bit, in order to make it according to our taste and the taste of our...

On? :))))

 By: amanico : May 1st, 2024-07:31

That would be great to have a special 25th anniversary watch.

 By: jlux : May 1st, 2024-08:09
My suggestion : UN with a +- 10k price range. Here I would take a slightly personalized version of the Marine Torpilleur ....of course without the date !!! Best, Gerard

Yes, me too. ;)

 By: amanico : May 1st, 2024-09:48

UN . . . good suggestion.

 By: M4 : May 1st, 2024-10:37
Also consider this very cool Classico watch. Photo credit: SJX It would make a very classy watch for a very classy community. M4 ...

43mm. From memory.

 By: amanico : May 7th, 2024-21:40

I would be tempted if it an automatic frm Harbing2 or Mont Blanc

 By: iceheller 1945 ✌️ : May 1st, 2024-09:05
that is under 10k. If there is serial number. I like #13.😆

A pythagore movement could be less expensive

 By: penfriend : May 1st, 2024-11:51
And still very special and attractive

True, to be checked.

 By: amanico : May 1st, 2024-12:53

I lost the overview

 By: penfriend : May 6th, 2024-16:45
If you want me to inquire on something will you let me know? Could also be a 3k iced sea…

;-) ;-)

 By: amanico : May 7th, 2024-21:40

Hublot 😂

 By: mahesh : May 8th, 2024-18:09

Come on! ;)

 By: amanico : May 8th, 2024-20:03

Two wonderful specimens!

 By: M4 : May 1st, 2024-10:18
I like the understated approach, without excessive words on the dial. And "Cronometro" on the Zenith was pure genius. I missed out on the Hentschel (too bad for me) but hope to participate in the 25th anniversary. I'd love to see if Parmigiani would partn...

Steel Ronda should fit the upper limit bill.🤣

 By: iceheller 1945 ✌️ : May 2nd, 2024-11:53
But if there is a “fake” freak with crown version. I dun mind upping to 30k.😅 ...

For the ~ 30k

 By: LK : May 1st, 2024-11:05
What about Breguet 5177 or Type XX that are more to our taste?

Would be a great timepiece. The new movement is fine

 By: hora12reborn : May 6th, 2024-18:54
let’s get a more harmonious classical dial.

+++ 1000

 By: amanico : May 6th, 2024-20:00

Isn’t 20k a bit steep for the Type XX? 🧐

 By: KMII : May 7th, 2024-15:11
Like the watch but weren’t they at a very different price point?

Japan would be most appropriate for the 25th anniversary of Purists

 By: Medem : May 1st, 2024-13:41
Grand Seiko or independent. In my opinion

They have done plenty of small editions in the past

 By: cazalea : May 8th, 2024-13:07
You just don’t see them outside Asia. For example, a tiny slice of my Master Spreadsheet: ...

Which one?

 By: lm6 : May 1st, 2024-16:02

There’s always the classic…

 By: heighthorology : May 1st, 2024-18:21
...

Which one?

 By: amanico : May 2nd, 2024-04:18

The panomatic lunar

 By: heighthorology : May 2nd, 2024-13:59

Ok, noted, then.

 By: amanico : May 2nd, 2024-14:50

How about CFB ?

 By: Wachnut : May 1st, 2024-16:03
A little bit from left field here , but would a Carl F Bucherer work for the sub 10k version ? They make a mean Flyback Chrono in their Manero line ...

I am curious which one would be chosen

 By: Weems@8 : May 1st, 2024-16:18
With the Hentschel i was too late. That is because i am a rookie, so i think i stay a rookie. HM1130 A Schild reincarnation, chronometer, a movement to get crazy stunning loving on. While i like to collect anniversaries, i stay for this time tuned. While ...

Let’s give a suggestion

 By: Weems@8 : May 3rd, 2024-18:03
I will give a suggestion for the affordable watch. The 30k i can buy, but i have also a young BMW in mind, that is more important. Ok, to the point. I spoke about an IWC. It can be some from the pilot range, but portugueser, fino, aquatimer, can be a cand...

Never too early to start...

 By: Ronald Held : May 1st, 2024-16:27
UN Habring and Chopard are good choices. Not what you may have had in mind, but a basic<10K watch and more customizsble 30K?

+1!! (nt)

 By: Ronald Held : May 2nd, 2024-19:15
NT

Definitely interested to add to the collection 😁👍🏻

 By: KMII : May 1st, 2024-16:37
The idea of two different ones appeals, too 😊👍🏻

Very great ideas

 By: TeutonicCarFan : May 1st, 2024-17:21
I believe the first step would be finding a brand amenable to this... I think we all know some brands that have done editions recently... cartier, montblanc, blancpain, un, pf and some others. Personally I'd love a pf Tonda, however, the no date sand colo...

Another idea that is a waste of time but epic...🔥🤩⌚️

 By: TeutonicCarFan : May 1st, 2024-19:35
A rolex 1908 in steel case, salmon hand guilloche dial===heaven. Anyone have contacts at the HW foundation 😩

Thanks, Yaco.

 By: amanico : May 2nd, 2024-04:09

Two more watches released at W&W that could be a good starting point..

 By: TeutonicCarFan : May 2nd, 2024-00:47
The h moser streamliner small seconds with blue enamel dial, new small case at 38mm and beautiful dial. Maybe a favorite in the show for me? I imagine using different hands, maybe lightly engraved h moser on dial, cool maybe dune colored silvery dial with...

Like both 👌🏻👍🏻

 By: KMII : May 7th, 2024-15:15
But from what I hear if we want to stick with the chronometer rating Moser might be a bit more difficult?

am I allowed to dream?

 By: xto : May 2nd, 2024-01:26
If so, Blancpain is about to revive the Leman line and they revive the 1186, perhaps the rattrapante, like this but with black hands, in 36 or 38 mm and they choose to launch with us! ...

Hi Nico

 By: Drek : May 2nd, 2024-10:01
Thanks for the article and sharing the pics. I think having the 10k and 30k splits is a great idea as it allows scope for some great watches and do what this site is good at i.e. embrace a common passion for watches across a broad range. I like the idea e...

If for a 35k, then what about a MOSER Streamliner Chronograph with the agenhor movement?

 By: @lberti : May 2nd, 2024-12:46
The dial, for my liking, has to be light brown and the hand in rosé!

there you go, Sir:

 By: @lberti : May 2nd, 2024-15:07
Credit: TimeAndTideWatches ...

This would be my dream choice for the 10k or below:

 By: @lberti : May 2nd, 2024-12:48
Credor Kuon! It is roughly at 8k CHF,EUR, USD... Back side is even more impressive. It comes super close to the Eichi II, for a 4th of the price!

 By: @lberti : May 2nd, 2024-12:49
Credit Reddit ...

Ok, noted.

 By: amanico : May 2nd, 2024-14:44

Agree. Among a few

 By: smironov : May 3rd, 2024-12:19
That feel special below 10k

Fantastic

 By: smironov : May 3rd, 2024-12:35
As for the higher budget options I think chronos and/or splits from Montblanc-Minerva are hard to beat. But I would try to seriously redesign the dial and hands, the standard ones are not for everyone.

Another cool option would be

 By: smironov : May 3rd, 2024-12:37
simple Reverso with a special enamel/engraving on the back.

Golden ratio 😄

 By: smironov : May 3rd, 2024-13:31

Thanks

I would love if we did a project with Tudor Watch

 By: ChristianDK : May 2nd, 2024-12:49
I think they offer great bang for the buck in terms of quality and design. work with a FXD or Black Bay. Use their chronometre movement MT 5602 to stick to the chronometer family. The design should be ultra reduced in terms of writing and colors. just ver...

I would love a tudor, especially an fxd or the new black bay 41mm with the jubilee...

 By: @lberti : May 2nd, 2024-14:04
Not an easy one i guess, although tudor is actually famous for collaborations or special editions: Just to name a few: STATE OF QATAR, GOOGLE, ROWING BLAZERS, MARINE NATIONALE, ROYALTY PROTECTION, COMMANDEMENT DES OPERATION SPECIALES (COS), WATCHES OF SWI...

Sure, but realistic?

 By: amanico : May 2nd, 2024-14:46

Knowing ROLEX/TUDOR: I wouldnt spend too much time with them....

 By: @lberti : May 2nd, 2024-15:09
They might even put you on a "waiting list" for the project.

ROFL! Good one!

 By: amanico : May 2nd, 2024-15:10

Likely not

 By: Drek : May 2nd, 2024-15:11
but fun to imagine

Absolutely!

 By: amanico : May 2nd, 2024-15:27

More realistic if we actually did have a Tudor Forum to begin with…

 By: ChristianDK : May 2nd, 2024-16:56
I don’t think it’s impossible since they have made plenty of small runs. Of course there are many easier brands to ask. Tudor would be easier to sell than most other brands as the price / quality factor is one of the most attractive in the industry.

You have a point.

 By: amanico : May 2nd, 2024-16:59

This is an important point; for a Tudor one could likely have a 50 piece edition and it be oversubscribed.

 By: Jay (Eire) : May 5th, 2024-14:56
But, and it’s a big one, didn’t we (Nicolas) try this already with Tudor and it was a no go? It amazes me that they would turn down a community like this when they’ve done numerous other projects.

I confirm, alas.

 By: amanico : May 5th, 2024-15:07

state of qatar i think are 75 pieces?

 By: @lberti : May 2nd, 2024-15:08
there are version with even a lower number....

Close, very close :)

 By: @lberti : May 2nd, 2024-15:10

Hahaha! ;)

 By: amanico : May 2nd, 2024-15:27

I second that 👍

 By: Cpt Scarlet : May 6th, 2024-16:39

Or a BB 54 GMT!

 By: amanico : May 7th, 2024-20:56

There's one obvious choice. A Speedmaster Professional . . .

 By: Dr No : May 2nd, 2024-17:34
. . . with W P S printed under 'Professional' . . . . . . to make only the second Speedmaster ever created for a private group. ;-) ...

I was toying with the idea of something similar but with an IWC pilot type XX preferably white dial and has to be no date..

 By: Echi : May 3rd, 2024-00:56
But instead of the marking “type xx”, it would read “wps xxv”. Admittedly not as inside baseball as your speedy reco. Gotta love how rail guys think

Ah the ck859

 By: Echi : May 3rd, 2024-08:22

Hehe gilt dial?

 By: Echi : May 3rd, 2024-08:37

I'd pass because there were no color variations for the original CK859. There are many . . .

 By: Dr No : May 5th, 2024-14:17
. . . Omega references with black dials that would be more appropriate for homage. For example, the Dirty Dozen. [watch credit: Roger G / photo credit: Dr No] There's even a grey dial reference that would be consummately compelling. [photo and(?) watch cr...

Don Turo reads history, not . . .

 By: Dr No : May 5th, 2024-14:51
. . . fiction. ...

Have you ever known . . .

 By: Dr No : May 5th, 2024-22:04
. . . a merciful . . . . . . Don? ...

Hahaha!

 By: amanico : May 6th, 2024-04:56

Good point. In that case, the speedy with the WPS would still interest me..

 By: Echi : May 6th, 2024-03:27
If i were a current owner of the regular speedy, I’d ditch it in an instant for this one ;-)

With a Cal 321?

 By: amanico : May 6th, 2024-05:05

My sense is if Omega agreed to make a special dial for us . . .

 By: Dr No : May 7th, 2024-15:44
. . . they'd insist on a production cal 3861 movement. They have a hard time making enough cal 321 movements as it is.

+1

 By: mahesh : May 3rd, 2024-18:27

he he....

 By: mahesh : May 3rd, 2024-21:31

LOL!

 By: amanico : May 3rd, 2024-21:33

LOL!

 By: amanico : May 7th, 2024-22:03

That would be insanely nice.

 By: @lberti : May 7th, 2024-15:31
I have a good connection to OMEGA. I will talk to them, if there's serious interest!

Merci!

 By: amanico : May 9th, 2024-06:31

Dear Nico, please count me in

 By: jack johnson : May 3rd, 2024-09:59
for both versions (30k + 10k), to the extent people will be allowed to sign up for both. If need to pick only one - 30k please. Thank you!

Chopard might be difficult…

 By: KMII : May 7th, 2024-15:20
I believe they changed their policy and the minimum quantity for custom versions have been increased significantly 🤷🏻‍♂️

Merci à toi!

 By: amanico : May 5th, 2024-14:00

Merci, mon ami.

 By: amanico : May 5th, 2024-07:44

Merci à toi :)))

 By: Ludi : May 7th, 2024-11:04
If ever the Omega CK859 is truly considered, I would be very interested btw

I love this madness :)

 By: emcquillan : May 6th, 2024-21:28

LOL. Thank you!

 By: amanico : May 6th, 2024-21:29

I love this idea of course =)

 By: InHavenPro : May 6th, 2024-17:05
Now, there's a number of excellent options at those price points.... A unique Speedmaster would be wonderful, and something I'd happily get into for around $10K, or on the 'higher end', I would most love to see something from JLC (yes, Reverso), or Vacher...

:(

 By: InHavenPro : May 6th, 2024-19:50

Alas.

 By: amanico : May 6th, 2024-19:53

I haven't been around here much lately

 By: mhz vph : May 6th, 2024-19:15
Simply due to the tasks of my life. But if I had a vote, it would be for Habring!

GP Laureato?

 By: TheMadDruid : May 6th, 2024-19:52
Newly independent, once again. Maybe a special dial color and Forum recognition on the rotor? And a bigger edition-100 instead of 20-25?

A breguet pilot

 By: Bruno.M1 : May 7th, 2024-06:21
A bit different from the actual collection and I’m probably in !! Tell them how many tradition we have here and you can convince them. Talking about the tradition…. How about a steel tradition ….. YES !!

Noted, Gael!

 By: amanico : May 7th, 2024-10:20

So much to sort through on this....

 By: nacelle : May 7th, 2024-17:32
Good luck narrowing it down... My observation at this point would be to open up the order book at the appropriate time, that is, for example not limit the piece to 25. I think that a small number does not allow for enough subscriptions using a first come ...

I agree with that.

 By: TheMadDruid : May 7th, 2024-19:10

Me too, a lot!

 By: amanico : May 7th, 2024-21:33

Here's an interesting spin

 By: TeutonicCarFan : May 8th, 2024-00:36
Singapore watch club did a collaboration with vacheron where they overhauled some vintage chronos and added a custom engraved bridge. Interesting idea. singaporewatchclub.com

Hello dear Nicolas! The idea of a WPS Speedmaster made my heart…
