Sunday Stupid Silly Post: MMR Obsession.

 By: amanico : December 12th, 2010-03:04
While visiting my Hard Disk, I noticed some pics which reveal a true MMR Obsession... I see Master Minute Repeater everywhere! On a Diesel Engine: On the frontgrill of a german car: On an italian roof: But also ... As an advertising on some buildings. How...

Gorgeous, too bad...

 By: Zoro55 : December 12th, 2010-03:33
... we cannot hear it Such an eye candy anyway Do you have something in your HD on the Rg version? Have a good sunday too

RG version? Your command is my pleasure...

 By: amanico : December 12th, 2010-03:41
Best, Nicolas....

Thank you genie!...

 By: Zoro55 : December 12th, 2010-03:59
... Rg to go for me! I can only imagine this watch under the sun, in natural light, it should be a killing!

I confirm.. :)

 By: amanico : December 12th, 2010-04:10
I was lucky enough to see it on a friend's wrist some months ago... And yes, under a natural light, it is amazing! The RG is a kind of compromise between Tradition ( RG ) and Innovation ( this stunning ruthenium open dial ). Awesome. Best, Nicolas, you kn...

Very well said...

 By: Zoro55 : December 12th, 2010-05:04
... i saw it once, and the way the dial played with the natural light, was simply unforgetable. Rarely a watch impressed me as much. The Rg enhanced that feeling give it a bright warm feeling. In a perfect world, i can imagine it with the duometre case Yo...

We can always try! :)))

 By: amanico : December 12th, 2010-05:20
More seriously, the thick case made me go on the titnaium version, which is more " conceptual " in my opinion, than the platinum or the rg. Can't agree more with you on the Suometre case, by the way...One of the nicest, if not THE nicest JLC case. Even if...

ok, let's ask something more plausible....

 By: Zoro55 : December 12th, 2010-06:17
... even if i dont see how you are lazy with 34'000 posts Clearly they are holding a winner here, so what about a duometre tourbillon for Xmas? Doesn't it make sense, with power reserve dedicated for the tourbillon. My nose is telling me that we'll see it...

To fill a gap, between the Master Tourbillon and the Gyro I or II?

 By: amanico : December 12th, 2010-06:26
Or the MGT GC which has a flying Tourbillon? Why not... I fear we won't see any new Duometre before 2012, 2013... At the exception of a white metal declination of the Duometre à Q.L. Now, that would make a very interesting dedicated thread, to know which ...

interesting thread....

 By: Zoro55 : December 12th, 2010-06:42
... i was thinking about the tourbillon because as you've rightly mentioned, there is something missing in the catalogue of JLC in tourbillons. BUT most importantly, the main weakness was in the design of the tourbillon, the cage, etc... IMO with the duom...

They may also put it at 6, at the " foudroyante " place...

 By: amanico : December 12th, 2010-09:33
As for the perpetual foudroyante on the Duometre à Q.L, I tend to disagree with you, even if I perfectly see what you mean. Why? Because the main goal of the Duometre à Q.L is Chronometry, and I see the moonphase much more like a pretext, here. Wait a bit...

Can't wait to read it...

 By: Zoro55 : December 12th, 2010-10:43
... actually, i am about to trigger on that piece. Amazing watch, the moon looks really fantastic, and i love how it all works, the aperture, etc... The report made last year about it is quite good at explaining it, because it really needs explaining actu...

Well, you're describing an already existing Duometre...

 By: amanico : December 12th, 2010-10:47
Which is the Hybris Mechanica à Grande Sonnerie... With its hammers on the left side of the dial... Best, Nicolas.

i was joking, thinking what could make a tourbillon....

 By: Zoro55 : December 12th, 2010-10:51
.... look ridiculous! Here you go! Fantastic watch actually the whole safe with 3 watch is... Agggghhhh... Nice to dream on sunday nights! We'll have all the time to get back to reality on monday morning )

Very refreshing post, Nicolas! :)

Thanks for sharing. I see you are also an Audi enthusiast! I have been a fan of Audi's understated elegance and ingenuity for some years now. Best,

Thanks ...

 By: amanico : December 12th, 2010-05:42
Yep, my current Audi is one of these very rare cars I didn't change after 2 years... I need to make some repairs on mine ( A 5 ), but what a car! As for the watch, I would only say that it is a keeper in my book. Best, Nicolas.

The MMR is to die for..

 By: TdotBean : December 12th, 2010-07:02
My recent thread has me thinking of what would be a watch that best represent in Platinum and I remember your post about the incredible detail work of the Master Control 8 days skeleton in Platinum. Please Please Please BTW do you have any color metal at ...

Well, I'll see if there is enough oil in the lamp...

 By: amanico : December 12th, 2010-07:13
What else? Best, Nicolas....

Mama mia! You own both the RG and Plat version?!

 By: TdotBean : December 12th, 2010-07:43
I would add this watch to my list of Noble watch that should only exist in Platinum. Best Tyler

Gorgeous shots

 By: stromer : December 12th, 2010-07:24
That is one fascinating watch! Had the pleasure to see and hear it on the wrist of one of our Purist friends last year. One of the two skeletonized watches I know of that I really like for not being heavily engraved. I especially love the frontgrill shot ...

My pleasure, Milan. [nt]
