For the two others questions, i can't help you with that. I know that you can send your watch to Omega and they can repair pretty much everything even take care of an very very old dial.

Hi and welcome, Do not consider to send the watch to Omega - it might cost you more than the actual value of the watch. Every well trained watchmaker can offer you a service for a fraction of those costs Omega asks. I would have it locally done... Pls pos...

Yes, i forgot to mention that, it's very expensive to send the watch to omega for repair. I have a seamaster cosmic who wasnt running very well (if i may say so) and ask for a devis in Omega store. They asked me 3 times the price of the watch to repair it...

1. Yes, Omega offers an Extract of the Archives, similar to the services offered by JLC and Patek. Only 80CHF vs. 420 for JLC, a bargain, I suppose. Then again, they used to do it for free as a courtesy. 2. Agree with the others. Omega has a bad habit of...

Gatorcpa - you helped me immensely! I am looking fwd to seeing my watchmaker next week to get the reference numbers and begin service.

A quick update for everyone -- both watches are in the hands of a terrific local watchmaker to service (based on everyone's advice here). I also noted both movement numbers and case reference numbers. I was able to locate my the gents piece on their datab...
