There is a point where patina becomes corrosion. This is that point (in my eyes).

Rolex: Amazing! I don't know if you have, but it is probably well worth the effort

of writing down as much of the history as possible and keeping the story with the watch for future generations. It's so rare that such a complete history accompanies a watch, it would be a shame for it to be forgotten.

Do you much about the history of the watch seeing as it has been in your family for so long? What happened to it with regards to the dial and crown? A very uncommon watch you have there.

It is a solid chunk that is whittled down to the shape and size.
