... both are fantastic choices. Get the one that sings to you -- period. While I would probably go for the Rolex because of my casual lifestyle, along with its versatility and sturdiness, the Calatrava is the ultimate dress watch. My favorite Patek is eit...

They very first time I saw the calatrava with this bezel I hated it. But surprisingly I really love it now. My other issue is probably the size of the Rolex on my wrist? Kev

zero.A nice 5digit GMT d be totally different story but in this case rather a nice dresss patek than the batman.

You can either add the Patek later or replace the Rolex if you find that it wasn't the right choice. This is my advice without any context info. Two totally different watches, but you already know it 😉

For an equivalent Patek you need to look higher up the Patek tree.

Fell out of love with it within four weeks. Wasn't worth the expense or the grief it gave.

Screws were found to be loose visible though caseback, it ran poorly. It actually stopped one day and I didn't realise I was late for a business meeting... Oops

I would say Patek but not the Calatrava for now. It’s easy to get if you want one later. It’s the Rolex GMT2 BLNR for now. Good luck!

I would go Rolex if I could only have one. It's an appropriate watch pretty much anywhere. My patek dress watches are beautiful pieces of art, but I can't wear them when working on equipment or banging around or near water. Rolex watches wear scratches we... 

I find the Patek far too classic (even old fashioned) in design/style.

but since I tried it on, i quite enjoy it. Tbh, I like the 240 movement more than the watch itself thouugh Kev

I am more of a casual guy. In my get up. And it's warm here in the tropics. Regarding the 5120g, I would go more with the 5196r or J. As a dress watch. Because it has a seconds hand and minute markers. My opinion. Geross 😉
