Recasing a Patek 27-460 Calendar movement?
Dec 14, 2014,06:12 AM
Hi Experts,
I was just wondering if anyone has any experience from getting Patek Philippe to recase a 27-460 movement?
When I say recasing, I mean, a total casing. I have the working movement, but not the case or dial. Would Patek case it for me if I brought it into their service center? In simple words, make that movement into a WATCH. a movement without the case/dial hands is just a movement only.
Yes, the 27-460 is a vintage movement and also the calendar version. Does anyone have any experience in getting Patek Philippe to officially case it?
Cheers!

Patek selling movments

I remember distinctly that Patek used to sell their movements only to retailers in the early days. It was because of tax reasons and such, especially to North America. Shouldn't there in this case be heaps of movements which are not officially cased by Pa...
