Please find below my report about Piaget. I had the chance to spend more than one hour with the Piaget team and I believe I could shoot almost all the novelties. So it is a report as comprehensive as it can be... This SIHH 2011 was very active for Piaget ...

I will have to disagree slightly, and say that I rather like the rotor on the dial side of the ultra-thin tourby. That's what makes the watch feel very modern and a bit edgy to me. Perhaps, others will see it as gimmicky, but I like how that feature creat...

Nice pics and watches. Thanks. [nt]

but i still wish that the altiplano range did not have the "eccentric" seconds... I believe that if the older one (manual wind with no seconds) was added but with a saphire case back it would have been perfect thank you for sharing this with us regards Ma...

Piaget also do an automatic Altiplano WITHOUT seconds

display. It is the new 1200P movement. This is for those who complain everywhere that they don't like the seconds display at 10 o'clock position.....et voila! No seconds display! Of course, when the 50th anniversary edition is finished, we will be wonderi...

but i still prefer the white dial version, its simplicity was the most beautiful part.. nothing complicated just a watch in the purest of meanings regards Marwan

Such a classic watch EXCEPT the dealbreaker

The writing on the dial is just WRONG. WHY??? It ruins the perfect dial for me.

First batch are 50th anniverary

edition. Thats why there are words on dial....for the celebration of the ultra-thin record breaker. In future editions, there will be no words. The price you pay is waiting..... Regards, MTF

Thank you all for your nice comments ! [nt]

I like the Polo FortyFive Perpetual Calendar

 By: MTF : February 2nd, 2011-02:25
FrX, Thanks for the in-depth Piaget SIHH 2011 report. At last! The Piaget automatic perpetual calendar movement has a nice home in the Piaget Polo FortyFive case. It is a useable and daily wearable case that is sensible. The lighter half titanium case is ...

We can find a lot of good reasons...

Yes, the watch is lighter, more comfortable and also... more discrete and, that's my point of view... more beautiful with this two-tones case ! Fr.Xavier

Would love to have an automatic Altiplano with the dial and size of the manual one. It's one of my fav dress watches in WG. Vte

I believe it's someting possible.
