This was a gorgeous piece in the metal, Ed!

(pic by TonyP) Cheers, Anthony...

I love this model too!

 By: dxboon : May 9th, 2010-09:14
The open dial gives it a more technical look that just draws me in! I think it's a great design from Piaget! Cheers, Daos

Forty Five Automatic Open dial

 By: AlexSunrise : May 5th, 2010-10:39
I recently discovered this one and I am compelled to learn more about it as well as trying it on! I also appreciate the Altiplano (I even stated that in a previous Piaget favorite's thread), but the 45 Automatic I can really see my self wearing it on a da...

Hi, Alex!

 By: dxboon : May 9th, 2010-15:23
How about the open dial FortyFive chrono? That's a nice piece IMO! Cheers, Daos

Black Tie Rectangle a l´ancienne

 By: anaesdoc : May 5th, 2010-11:29
Hi Daos, thanks for this contest. As a Piaget non-savant, this would be my choice. I just like the 1930´s Art Deco touch of rectangular watches and particularly the dial symmetry and decoration. The jumping second adds some finesse to this watch. As I am ...

Piaget Limelight secret watch with motif

 By: elanoftroy : May 7th, 2010-21:04
I love the mystique of the 18 carat pink gold case with diamonds, diamonds and more diamonds. Being both a gorgeous watch and stunning bracelet ... what more could a woman ask for? (To that someone reading over my shoulder - HINT! HINT!)

IMO Piaget...

 By: dxboon : May 9th, 2010-16:02
...does the best gem-setting in the business. The watches in the Limelight Secret line are always fun and fanciful! Cheers, Daos

The case on this watch is lovely

 By: dxboon : May 9th, 2010-15:44
I like the dial for the most part (with the exception of the date window), and the retrograde seconds is the crowning touch. Cheers, Daos

Simple comme bonjour .. .

 By: bimbeano : May 5th, 2010-11:40
IMO this Altiplano is the ultimate "simple" dresswatch .... if i had the budget for a "simple" gold dresswatch this would probably be the winner. Cheers, Filip...

Classic!

 By: dxboon : May 9th, 2010-17:38
Less is more sometimes! The Altiplano is so beautiful! With the small seconds display there is just enough movement on the dial to intrigue. Cheers, Daos

Filip has it right!

 By: CaliforniaJed : May 5th, 2010-12:23
Simple, elegant, a touch of eccentricity, and a case and movement second to none. Altiplano. Best, Jed...

I second that! :-)

 By: dxboon : May 9th, 2010-17:44
Or, er, rather I third that (after you and Filip)! Cheers, Daos

My favourite... and why.

 By: CGJ0 : May 5th, 2010-12:26
Relatively new to the whole watch aficionado stage I heard of Piaget as a result of researching into a music video (Take a Bow) in which Rihanna is seen wearing a gold Piaget Polo. I liked the watch for it's timeless classic look that looked desirable in ...

Interesting observations!

 By: dxboon : May 9th, 2010-18:24
I had borrowed the jeweled Altiplano Double Jeu from Piaget briefly, and I had the same feeling that the watch crossed all boundaries of gender and styling. The Piaget Polo is so iconic. It's a fantastic piece that evokes both elegance and sportiness. Che...

The black Altiplano

 By: flawless51 : May 5th, 2010-18:47
The black Altiplano gives us a chance to own and enjoy such classic styling in a brand new watch. Although fairly minimalistic, this Altiplano is still bold, classy, and is of tremendous craftsmanship. Definitely a piece to own for a lifetime.

Agree with your comments

 By: dxboon : May 10th, 2010-00:36
I generally really enjoy dark colored dials. White metals with black/blue dials are quite possibly my favorite color palette on a watch. The thin proportions of the Altiplano coupled with the expansive dial create a watch with great visual presence. Cheer...

The Relatiff New York!

 By: ArthurSG : May 5th, 2010-23:00
If I could afford it but if not, its the Altiplano duo of the boutique edition Squelette Altiplano or the RG silver dial Altiplano....

It is a beauty!

 By: dxboon : May 10th, 2010-08:17
I love the use of the skyscraper motif on the dial. I think Piaget makes very unexpected and romantic watches. This one perfectly captures the boldness and architectural beauty of NYC. Cheers, Daos

 By: ED209 : May 5th, 2010-23:25
A contest, very cool Daos! My favorite Piaget would be the Polo Tourbillon Relatif. Why? Because it was the coolest watch that I'd seen during the PuristS-On-Tour 2008 trip when we visited Piaget: Regards, ED-209...

I love the design also!

 By: dxboon : May 11th, 2010-00:23
Thanks for again sharing your fantastic picture and video! For me, this basic design has found an awesome application in the new Piaget Jazz Party Polo Tourbillon Relatif! Cheers, Daos

The contest didn't specify the current collection or past

 By: rovermark : May 6th, 2010-01:28
So I'll have to give two favorites, with conditions. If the question refers to any watch Piaget ever made then for me the hands down winner would be the now discontinued Upstream. Why? Because not only is the overall design pleasing, the clasp/deployant m...

I want one of each for my collection too!

 By: dxboon : May 11th, 2010-00:26
In a previous thread I asked for a reissued Upstream with skeleton dial to be released (a girl can dream!). I think that would be a fantastic piece from Piaget! Cheers, Daos

Double the faces, double your fun...

 By: webtimer : May 6th, 2010-03:07
Piaget make nice watches. To be honest, quite a bit of manufactures make nice watches. But how many make watches that make you smile? For that reason, and for the sheer audacity of the piece, it has to be the Altiplano Double Jeu. Need I say more?

The Double Jeu is my favorite too!

 By: dxboon : May 6th, 2010-08:30
Great minds think alike! Although, if I won the lotto I might have to go for the new Jazz Party tourbillon! Ooh la la! Cheers, Daos...

:-) All excellent choices!

 By: dxboon : May 6th, 2010-08:24
I think lots of folks would go for a 40mm version of the new Altiplano, and a 42mm version of the Piaget Polo FortyFive (Would it be called Piaget Polo FortyTwo then?). Cheers, Daos (who is also disqualified)

My favorite Piaget... guess what it is!

 By: monochrome : May 6th, 2010-08:23

9P movement but not PIAGET on the dial! MTF

I'm impressed, MTF

I can't remember the model name offhand, but I'll track it down. it is the Altiplano @ 43mm, the regular one with subseconds, not the anniversary without A This message has been edited by aaronm on 2010-05-06 08:29:19

A little something like this?

Maybe crank the diameter down a few MM and have a few more dial options and I'd be all over it! A

Well, it is not that easy ...

 By: small-luxury-world : May 6th, 2010-11:17
and therefore let me introduce you ... A) Interestig movement with FP Journe behind and a well done understated black dial. B) Altiplano, 38mm (good size), WG, with an incredible grey/green frinqué dial. Saw it once in of the boutiques and liked it a lot....

Indeed, Oliver...

...there are several pieces from Piaget past and present that I would love to sport on my wrist. You have selected an outstanding trio to highlight! I agree that Piaget does thin dressier pieces so beautifully. They just work for me too! Cheers, Daos

I'd go for the 45 chrono skeleton

 By: LwC : May 6th, 2010-15:25
I like this watch because of the contrast between the rectangular shape of the case and the round seconds sub dial and arc of the reserve indicator.

I love the color palette on the watch!

 By: dxboon : May 9th, 2010-18:07
The juxtaposition of square and circular shapes does create a delightful frisson . An excellent choice! Cheers, Daos

No doubts.

The Altiplano Italia Limited Edition. Definetly one of my favourite all around, at the moment. Why? Because I love its simplicity, its thinness and the union of light blue and gold. This last unique feature make this watch really exceptional and unconvent...

Welcome, Dade!

Hi Dade, Thanks for joining the discussion, and great choice for a fave Piaget also! Blue and gold make for a stellar combo. I personally love blue-dialed watches. The Altiplano is an elegant watch that's perfect for everyday wear IMO. Cheers, Daos

You caught me...

Time's up!
