Very awesome.

A new Luminous... A new dawn of day...

 By: patrick_y : December 6th, 2012-09:57
This will be interesting... Soon we'll have another Lange night club watch. Liking it very much so far. Can't wait to see it in person.

Love it! But why oh why...

...as a LE of 100 pieces? Way too few for what I am sure will be global demand for this piece. I have never really warmed up to the look of the traditional L1 (yes, heresy, I know). Not enough going on on the dial -- which is why I am drawn to the Zeitzon...

Correction

I am still at the press event - the correct LE number is 200. More later... Ken

Last week?

 By: KIH : December 6th, 2012-15:00
1. Are you press? How did you get that information last week? I am just curious..... 2. Nothing to do with you and I am not blaming anyone, but there was a leak from US website and it is now a big deal in Glashutte. 3. Both of them apologized that the pre...

Totally agree Gary...

The entire concept of Limited Editions is ridiculous! Especially, when we are dealing with large scale production of custom items here. Best, -- Richard.

An epiphany!

What a watch. Loved the WG Lange 1, but this one: madness! The new larger, thinner platinum L 1 was not quite to my taste, a bit too simple and wide, where the 38,5 L 1 p looks much more tempting. But I can imagine without having seen this version: a hit....

I like! [nt]

The last picture is the best representation!

Wow, I have to say I received the press release with a the front dial shot and liked it but wasn't blown away. This picture blows me away. I love what Lange is doing. The Lange 1 Luminous and Time Zone Luminous were steps towards making the watch more "mo...

If I am to remember correctly, one frequent Purist poster who is very adept with graphic design once posted an estimate picture of a luminous L1 and it was quite similar to this. I apologize to the member who's name I can not currently place; but kudos to...

The tens figures wouldn't be luminous on your watch! ;) I have to confess that I am impressed by the idea you had 2 years ago. Fx

Exactly!

 By: colton_d : December 21st, 2012-16:16
Thank you Oliver, your post from 2010 instantly jumped into my mind when I saw the press release! What keen intuition, or was it something more ;) Best, and Happy Holidays Colton

A hit! Andreas

I don't know what to think about it right now....

By: Mark in Paris : December 6th, 2012-15:56
I remember once that some people tried to think about what could be a sporty Lange watch or even if Lange should have one in its collection. I guess a good point here is that this L1 looks "sportier" without crossing the red line which would be to make a ...

Bravo Mark

Whats your impression of the Lumen Ken?

Thanks for the the very prompt report & looking forward to more. :) fernando

Honestly?

 By: KIH : December 6th, 2012-23:54
... well, it may take time to really sink in your mind. Have you noticed (of course, you have!) that Lange has not offered "skeleton" dial and they have been negative about it "why should the dial be skeletonized?" Point well taken. But the hit of ZW Lumi...

Glad they increased the limit to 200

Ken, your thoughts on the watch are interesting. As a great admirer of all things Lange, but a current non-owner of any Lange, this watch struck me as something new. I owned several Langes in the past and sold each one, ultimately feeling that they were '...

Interesting... but is that enough

 By: chintu : December 6th, 2012-22:26
Lange has indeed come out with a nice adaptation with the "Phantomesque" approach. But beyond the chemical coatings and the sapphire disks, I donot see anything by way of horological /design improvements. Perhaps if the black subdials were dealt with diff...

In my opinion and the see through! Well I am not sure about it, to tell the truth I am not so fond of Skeletonised watches to start with but what really bothers me is the "no zero" from 1 to 9, I know, I know I am an anti conservative but I much prefer th...

A group of 'friends' are trying to brainwash me

into buying one, but I'm still a Richard Lange and Dataograph era guy. I'm not sure how the lumi looks in the dark? Do you have pictures of the "shinny" piece in that environment? cheers Mech.

I would love to have this piece in my collection

 By: QueueCumber : December 11th, 2012-20:40
I really do love Langes above all others....
