Just back from Dresden! 2 wristshots of the Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase

Dec 07, 2013,11:19 AM

Ken and I had the opportunity to attend the pre-SIHH event organized by Lange during 3 days. We will come back very soon with a full report. In the meantime, please find a few pictures... to be considered as a teasing!

My Cabaret was my faithful companion during this stay in Saxony:

I couldn't miss a visit at the Lange boutique!

The event gathered people from a lot of countries:

A Zeitwerk prototype. wink

We talked a lot about moonphases display!

And here is a wristshot of the novelty, the Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase (platinum version):

A visit of the Manufacture is mandatory!

And here is a wristshot of the PG version:

A rare bird, the 1815 Kalenderwoche:

In a few words: I promise you a lot of sweet things!

Stay tuned!

A Lange & Sohne is starting to be my next target!

The Pt version is stunning

Hey Xavier, Thanks for the report, and wonderful brilliant wristies! I am very much awed, somehow, by that Pt version. Now the term "Lunar lustre" takes on a new twist ;) Tschuss Stephen

Agree with you in full on that Stephen. The Pt version looks like a winner.. and seems to fit your size criteria ;) My only question is the seconds track, would have like indices like on 'regulay' Lange 1's. Looking forward to the full report and pictures...

It sure does fit my size criteria

But that does not make it an immediate winner for me, in the sense of me adding this to my collection. Far from it, there are still many considerations to be made. We shall see what happens once January comes. I have no issue with the minutes and seconds ...

Always considerations..

Plus seeing in the metal itself is always a major deciding factor. I too anxiously await January to see what this amazing brand will unveil! My RL is ticking away happily; keeping impeccably accurate time each and every day for me. Happy to report it has ...

The addion of the MP ...

to the G Lange 1 Pt. gives it just that extra warmth and colour that it needs IMO. Your second shot of the Cabaret is fantastic! cheers fernando
