That's my experience with wearing a jump hour watch... its very nice, time, at least for me, seemed to pass slower... that is a nice effect!! Needless to say, beautiful piece, S

I agree and hadn't really thought about that before...

Time really does take on a different experience when wearing the Zeitwerk with its digital display. I think it's because with the ZW, the time is displayed in a singular, absolute way -- the numbers are displayed with no background or context (i.e., no ot...

Wonderful "Striking Time"

I love this piece but was concerned a couple more mm beyond the base model might make it too big? It looks great on the wrist in the photo.

Experiencing time

 By: Seeks : August 23rd, 2014-02:27
I think you both coin the appropriate thought for it "Experiencing time" .. That's what the Zeitwerk does. I still find myself pausing a few moments before the jump just to watch the jump. ps Craig, very awesome wristshots. Many thanks for sharing your pl...

Dial colour

 By: colton_d : August 18th, 2014-04:56
Hi Dave, Beautiful picture, and happy to know your Zw will be getting some wrist time! In your eyes, how does the dial colour compare to the black of the Dato? In all the pictures I have seen, the dial seems to change from a matte sort of look to nearly g...

Here are my thoughts with a photo...

I own both the Datograph (original version) and the Zeitwerk, so perhaps a picture illustrates the differences best. The most noticeable thing to me is the size. The extra 3 mm on the Zeitwerk certainly makes the watch wear differently. I suspect putting ...

Side by Side

Both the original Dato and Zw appear very similar.. and awesome! That's a pair I hope to have someday as well. Thank you for posting this, the black contrasting dial is very striking. My preference is to the original dato as well, pairing either of these ...

This is a great photo

I would say the Zeitwerk is a Lange icon, as much as the Datograph. A must-have IMO for a Lange collector. Large on the wrist, but quite manageable. Maybe no watch has the same "cool factor" as the Zeitwerk.

The WG Zeitwerk is THE Zeitwerk!

While admiring endlessly the digital display.. that there is a very complex mechanism at play behind the scenes ;) Not mine, but I congratulate the owners on owning a true Lange icon Thank you for the wonderful pictures Dave, CR and Timula, the Pt Strik...

I only wish it came in Pt. in this black dial version. Still a wonderful piece in the Lange collection. cheers fernando

The watch itself looks like a bank vault! And the code is 2 0 3

But more seriously: I like the ZW. It looks like an old steam train to me. Even more as the ZW Striking in RG in particular. Both watches could be owned by a railway company owner in The Wild West, around 1845, which coincidentally makes a connection to a...
