Just back from Dresden: the 20th Anniversary event will always remain in my memory

Oct 26, 2014,15:38 PM

I will come back later this week with a detailed report... but I just wanted to tell you that the 20th Anniversary event was successful. Of course, the Anniversary watch was unveiled on Friday but I didn't feel that it was the most important, at least for a true fan of the brand like me. The most important was to be able to enjoy the celebration of the first collection which was presented 20 years ago in a room located a few meters from the place of the event. Two of the three persons who symbolized this rebirth were present these last days: Mr Walter Lange of course and Mr Hartmut Knothe. And the late Günter Blümlein was obviously in our minds.

It was a very moving event supported by the perfect organization of the Lange team.

I would like to share with you a few pics I took during my stay in Saxony:

I could shoot the Watches & Wonders collection... including my fav version of the Lange One  20th Anniversary, the blue dial one:

The Langematik Perpetual with black dial is beautiful:

Fortunately, I was supported in my shooting duties by a nice lady:

During a walk in the streets of Dresden, I could see this Tourbillon PLM with a gold bracelet in a boutique:

And here is... the Lange One Tourbillon Handwerkskunst...

Well... just the dial:

The finishings movements and the gorgeous lay-out of the plate:

The black enamel dial creates a lot of shades, sometimes it seems to be deep dark and a few seconds later, it tends to be lighter. A very subtle dial.

And of course... the usual wristshot!

More to come soon...

A big thank to the Lange Team for this great event which will always remain in my memory.

Fx

These wrist shots are also spectacular, and like you, I really like the blue Lange 1...the color and the design of the dial with the waves/guilloche is sublime.

Breath taking......

So beautiful! It is hard to tell How excellent are the black enamel effect from the photos. If there is a chance, will you recommend to add it to the Lange collection? I have Not collected any Lange tourbillon. Thanks for your advice.

Yes, it seems that the event was much more important than the watch.

let's be honnest, I had the same feeling with the 175th from PP. Not sure what to think of current evolutions... Dirk

Must say that the tourbillon is a good looking watch though...

that black enamel paired with the beautifully finished tourbillon bridge is a stunning combination......maybe aver all not my favourite Lange but quite beautiful indeed. Blue dial guillochet is to die for....shame I need a girlfriend for the pair! Mo

It was show time.

I saw some pictures on the net, they seem to have prepared a very nice event. happy you could attend it Fx. I'm not a fan of the style of the blue dial L1. On the other hand, The black dial Langematik seems stunning (I guess it looks like a Dato dial ?). ...

Lange just keeps creating classics

I never like watches with any kind of cut out in the dial but I love this L1 Tourb. And the blue L1 is so opulent... but it seems to also have a subtle classicism... love it too.
