My first Lange
A friend of mine introduce me to the world of horology back in 2000. I was looking for a nice watch and he pointed me to the direction of Patek. I immediately took notice of the annual complications and perpetual ones. I picked up my first PP which was a 5036G then sold it a few years later to get the 5056P. After a few years I came to take note of Lange and saw the Lange one and Perpetual. I had no budget yet for a new watch but have decided that Lange will be the next watch I will get.
Fast forward a few years, I have been fortunate now to have the funds to get a Lange but which one?
The Lange one is at the top of my list but a 2nd hand Langematik Perpetual was also there. I found this site and saw the posts from Ian. He posted the Saxonia annual calendar with blue hands, that is a beauty so I set my sight on that one.
After asking for prices and waiting for the right time, I saw a post for a new watch from Lange around October. I immediately fell in love with the watch.
Of course I also tried a few before jumping in as they say.
I was fortunate enough to be in HK Lange store and saw a dummy watch of the new WG Langematik perpetual. I just look and look at it. My wife asked the shop keeper to pull it out and for me to wear it. wow! that did it for me. I immediately ordered one from my AD as soon as i got back home.
I got a call friday from my AD and they told me the watch is on hand for pick up.
I am happy to wear it today

This black dial Langematik Perpetual is gorgeous! And for a PC watch, the use of the big date display is perfect! After all, the purpose of a PC watch is to always display the right date... Congrats! Fx

Appreciation for Patek and Lange go together like
Lyric and Song. Reading postings from both Patek and Lange forums, it seems that folks (almost entirely) speak highly of both brands - rarely criticizing either house. Congrats on your beautiful set!
