L1 Daymatic 'should' be more popular for the office
Feb 27, 2015,06:09 AM
You're in a boring meeting and you think the meeting is running long. You're wearing a Lange 1 on your left wrist and your left arm is propped casually on the conference table. But your shirt cuff is covering half your watch dial. You don't want co-workers to know you're checking the time.
Traditional Lange 1 - not possible to see the hour/minute hands without adjusting your cuff.
Lange 1 Daymatic - damn, it's 10:01am and I have to get back to my desk!
... nobody talks about the Daymatic - as if it's sacreligious or just doesn't exist. Pretty movement, can put it on the winder, what's not to like?

I think that people like me we prefer handwind movements for the Lange One. You are right about the subdial location but the winding pleasure is more important... Thanks! Fx
I think the problem with the Daymatic..........

Is the inverse dial layout. The original Lange 1 set the standard for how that model should look so I think most find it hard to get used to the flipped dial including myself. I have the same problem with the perpetual tourbillion. Tony
