John Mayer Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar 26574BC.OO.1220BC.02

I was lucky enough to see the new John Mayer perpetual calendar 26574BC.OO.1220BC.02 at my boutique yesterday

It’s a beautiful dial. It reminds me so much of the old Tuscany dials. But with much more sparkle.

And it’s a watch the white gold makes the watch extremely heavy compared to its steel counterpart.

And it’s the last one with the classic Movement. After this one, there will be a new perpetual calendar, Movement.

I think the dial is as beautiful as the dial in the code 1159 star wheel or the Lange Saxonia thin copper dial which looks like stars in the sky.

I still think this perpetual calendar has an

even more distinctive look because of the 3-D crystals having real depth in the dial.

So the dial is definitely the most distinctive feature compared to other perpetual calendars. it’s one of the best dials as of late and really a new idea. let’s see maybe in the future these come down to less limited and less expensive pieces that would be my wish.

Pricing is high with the price close to US$200,000 and limited to 200 pieces.

I can just see John Mayer throwing a fit, when do I get a watch named after me?

Like when he was so eager to have some vintage Rolexes named after him ala Paul Newman Daytona.

Way too pricey for me...

...and also too flashy. I prefer the understated look of the old-school AP PCs...

I love the Tuscany dial APs from the past, and I agree this piece reminded me of those.

Personally, I don’t regard the Starwheel dial as being on par with this given the 3D texture as well as larger footprint compared to the relatively little sliver of aventurine in the Starwheel. What do you think of the regular steel perpetual calendar? I ...

While I don't care for such collaboration pieces, this dial treatment very much works here.

This watch is much, much better than the cactus guy version. Let me reiterate, MUCH better.

Simply stated: Beautiful!

Not really care much for the john Mayer aspect, but I do love his passion for watches. Cooler than aventurine imo

Thank you for the great photos and for sharing your impressions!

Unfortunately I think at this point we have seen way too many royal oak perpetuals .... The dial is nice but not especially original. It is blue, it sparkles, fine. I am sure the weight of the white gold feels great. It would have been a killer watch 10 y...

I’m not an AP fanboy.

But this dial is pretty crazy. I’d love to get one.

Pretty cool looking AP

Absolutely lovely piece(!) Really nice execution by the artist. I do hope AP stops with the collaborations now. And I do hope brown ceramic becomes its own model as it would be stunning with gold or orange!

Typical a watch that is difficult to get on picture

A typical on the flash must seen AP, while the star wheel brings over the communication online. Great that the young famous musicians knows how great watches must be. I see a lot of good musicians with boring Submariners, so i can appreciate Johns way a l...
