Hi Kevin

I don't recall having such a problem. Mine is in the bank right now but as far as I can remember, the crown works fine and has a great feel to it - smooth winding and easy to manipulate. Maybe it requires a small adjustment. The boutique or AD can assess the situation or you can compare it to one of theirs to evaluate the difference if any.
cheers

 By: watchestolove : October 28th, 2016-23:07
The Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe is a watch that went under my radar for a long time. Recently when I was browsing for my next acquisition, this watch suddenly clicked with me. All versions of this watch look fantastic and each has its own unique look, and I...

Although I have already known your acquisition of this piece,

still I\'ve been waiting for your full review. Congratulations!

Thanks Luis!

Hopefully it didn't disappoint!

How can anyone be disappointed

with such an enjoyable post.

Fantastic photos of a beautiful watch!

First, congrats! This version of the Bathyscaphe is very nice, and your excellent photos give it justice I am with you on your view on the blue dial ceramic Bathyscaphe. I also tried it and let it pass, since I find the gray ceramic too dark. Thanks a lot...

Thank you Henrik!

I've always thought it's a little odd for a sports watch to be in blue, but it is very subjective=)

Kevin, congratulations for your addition AND for your superb photos.

Enjoy it. And feel free to share some other great pictures of yours, from time to time. Best, Nicolas

Thank you very much, Nicolas!

The box, the dial and the finish make this one heck of a watch to own.

Thank you Alkiro! [nt]

I really think the nato strap makes the watch. I wish they would make a 20mm strap for the vintage watches! Brian

I think i might have figured out how to get one.

I have a call to make in the morning and i'll post my results later.

Great choice!

Great choice! The dark grey dial makes the indices change color (prism, reflection), depending on angle. The bezel is really sleek.

try the Blue NATO too

Thank you for the great review and superb images. I went through the same thought process in the summer and got the grey dial on green nato... I love it! when you feel like experimenting with a dark nato strap, I actually recommend getting the dark blue n...

Never thought about a blue NATO

I think it'll look very interesting! May I ask how much it costed you to buy extra set of NATO hardware? Thanks in advance!

Not cheap... but worth it.

in the $400's - small investment but in my opinion the Bathyscaphe was practically made for NATO, so it gives you flexibility. Especially since I would recommend to avoid removing the spring bars that could easily scratch the lugs.

That is very true

Thank you for the info. I'm waiting for my sailcloth strap to come first, and maybe I'll look into the blue NATO strap next=)

Excellent review and photos! Thanks!

Completely changes the feel of the watch!

Hey Fernando, one question

 By: watchestolove : November 11th, 2016-22:40
I noticed that when I pull the crown out fully to adjust time, and when I push it back in the 'click' feedback isn't very clear. Sometimes one push to the end doesn't put the crown back to the winding position, it takes a couple tries. For example I don't...

I will go to AD and take a look at their other watches for comparison when i get a chance.

A Great Photo Report and Commentary

You did a wonderful job discovering the many details that make this Blancpain great. Truly, it is in a class by itself in the sport watch category.

Thank you!

I would almost go as far as saying the Bathyscaphe is great bang for the buck!
