I totally agree with you on several points, such as the wording on the True Second, the fact that you have to love the way the dead second is displayed ala Quartz Watch, and the fact that I would have appreciated some polished bevels. The bevels exist, but they are not polished.
Now would have polished bevels an impact on the price? I don't know, I guess that it would have an impact, but at 14, 400 Euros, they should be polished. My opinion, of course, but an opinion we both share.
As for the hour hand of the True Second, there are two ways to set it, I may have not been clear enough in my explanations:
- You just want to go to another time zone: You pull the crown at level 1, and only the hour hand moves.
- You want to set your time, then you pull the crown at level 2 and both the hour hand and the minute hand move.
The advantage of such a system? When you travel in another time zone, you just " touch " the hour hand. You don't " de set " all. Pretty clever, I find.
Best, John.
