They look a a lot better in real life

Hi
I was in London earlier in the week and did my normal trick - wander around a few watch shops.
While I was collecting one watch from its service and looking at something else, I noticed that the shop I was in had got some Geophysics in.
So thought I'd better take a look - firstly I'm amazed how quickly they've become available after being announced, normally there's a lag of months.
First impressions are that they look better than they do on screen. In particular the dial of the True Seconds is rather lovely, I really like the granular texture to it - something which Jaeger seem to be doing a number of at the moment.
The dial of the world time is great - really nice blue and I like the contrast of some of the red lettering, but then I'm a fan of red lettering on JLCs. Really nice that there's no date. Also while some have commented on the screws in the dial - they are not at all obvious - but for some just knowing that they're there may be an issue.
I was rather struck by the second hand and how it moves - seems the complete anthesis how you expect a mechanical watch to run. I think most people would just assume that its a quartz watch. I have to say I both liked it and was confounded by it.
finally the cases of both are really nice and they are not over large - though I think the Worldtime would be pushing it for me, it didn't feel massive. I tried the Rose gold True Seconds on and have to say it had a lot of appeal, which surprised me as I normally go for steel watches - it didn't seem to shout about itself.
Cheers
